The University of Dayton Department of Religious Studies Announces a Tenure-Track Position in Islamic Studies Applicants should have an earned doctorate at the time of appointment (ABD considered if near completion). The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching, active engagement in scholarly research and publishing in the study of Islam, and participation in the Religious Studies department¹s contribution to the University¹s mission as a Catholic and Marianist university. Responsibilities include creating and teaching undergraduate courses in the common academic program as well as more specialized undergraduate and master courses in the religious dimensions of Islam. Preference will be given to those with an earned doctorate, experience in undergraduate teaching, and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Appointment is at the assistant professor level. Salary is competitive.
