Centre College invites applications for an entry level tenure track position in Religion with a specialty in Islam. The ideal candidate will have a firm grounding in the academic study of Islam in the context of religious studies, and a nuanced understanding of how Islam has interacted with other religious traditions. Candidates must demonstrate ability and dedication to teach at the undergraduate level, and be ready and willing to assist in the development and teaching of a course on the ‘Western’ religious traditions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, et.al.). Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered.
