Sociology Awards

The following are awards presented to graduate students at various points during the academic year. Application deadlines and award criteria vary. Please follow the links for more specific information on the application process.

• The Sociology Department Master’s Thesis Award
  Awarded to graduate students in the second-year of their masters program
  Application deadline: April 30
  $500 one time award
  
  
• The Sociology Department Alumni Award
  Awarded to students who have completed their BA/BS and are entering into the Graduate Program
  Application deadline: June 30
  $400 one-time award
  
  
• The Sociology Department Graduate Travel Award
  Awarded to a graduate student who will present research at an academic conference
  Application deadline:
  • Fall term: November 1
  • Winter term: February 1
  • Spring term: May 10
  $100 one-time award
