DUII
DUII - Driving under the influence of intoxicants.
SLS can assist some student charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).
DUII is defined as:
- Driving while in - in these cases it does not matter what the defendant's blood alcohol content is. If the state can prove “impairment" due to "intoxicants".
- If the defendant is over 21, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more.
- If the defendant is under 21, driving and consumed any alcohol - even a drop!
DUIIs can be serious and require legal help. Some defendants may be eligible for Diversion.
