Foster Care Project Receives Civic Engagement Award for Community-Based Research
Extensive research has documented the poor outcomes of youth in foster care; however, there is little evidence that points to effective approaches for improving their lives. Research Consortium to Increase the Success of Youth in Foster Care – a partnership of researchers from the RRI, DHS Child Welfare, Portland Public Schools, and the Graduate School of Education - is carrying out cutting edge research to identify what works in supporting youth in care.
