The information systems program provides an understanding of business computer systems hardware and software. You will learn how to specify, design, install, and support business related systems. This program is designed to prepare you for one of the fastest moving, highest paying careers in the business environment. Placement opportunities are expanding faster than our ability to find qualified applicants for the program.
You can learn how to use and publish on the Internet; install and maintain local area networks; and use advanced tools for the rapid development of systems. Our internship program helps connect you to businesses such as Intel, U.S. Bank, Nike, Microsoft, and Hewlett Packard. Other skills are provided including database management, business systems analysis, data communications, programming skills, and business presentation practice.
The information systems program also provides classes that enhance the marketability of other business majors. Many of our students have other majors in both business and liberal arts. We provide them the chance to integrate computer systems knowledge into their desired field of employment. If you have the desire to learn and the ability to relate to people then we can provide you with the skills necessary to excel in the current fast-paced business environment.
