Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Oregon and the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. After beginning his career in commercial real estate as a leasing agent, he began
appraising in 1985 and is now employed by US Bank as a Senior Reviewer where he is responsible for the Bank's appraisal activity in Idaho, Utah and Oregon.

Mr. Boyle has extensive experience with a wide variety of property types throughout the Northwest both as a fee appraiser and as a review appraiser.  He is an approved national instructor for the Appraisal Institute and is certified by The Appraisal Foundation's Appraiser Qualification Board to be a national USPAP instructor. He was on the National Board of Directors of the Appraisal Institute from 2000 though 2003.

He written and presented national seminars for the Appraisal Institute including the Appraisal of Local Retail Properties and Real Estate Fraud; The Appraiser's Responsibilities and Liabilities, and he has taught internationally. Tom was also on the development teams for several other seminars and a contributor to the latest edition of the Dictionary of Real Estate Appraisal published by the Appraisal Institute.
