Current research focuses on developing the concept of sustainability operations management and applying it to the design of ecologically-focused local business operations that emulate and extend the scope of the Toyota Production System. This radically new approach to operations management views business through the lens of natural living system principles that emerge at the intersection of systems thinking, modern life science, and the cosmology of modern physics.
