Registration Dates

If you have not completed or transferred all the SBA prerequisites here at Portland State University, the registration system may not allow you to register for some business courses online. To quickly solve this problem, email your advisor at any time before your assigned registration date with your ID number and which classes you would like to take. We will verify the necessary prerequisites and override the system allowing you to register online for the indicated classes. Your advisor is assigned according to the last two digits of your new ID number. If your ID number ends in:

School of Business Administration Registration Dates:
Registration opens at 8:00 am PST
(Please note these dates apply only to business courses. Make sure you are either registered for or have completed the proper prerequisite courses.)

** Only continuing students will be allowed to register for 300 level business courses prior to being admitted to the SBA. As part of the implementation of the new admissions policy, continuing non-admitted SBA students must obtain special permission from their advisor prior to being able to register for 300 level business courses.

To obtain special permission, please call 503-725-3712 or email your advisor seven days prior to registration with your name, PSU student ID number, and what course(s) you are hoping to take the following term.

After Summer Term 2010, all students must be admitted to the SBA to take any 300 or 400 level business courses.

NOTE: Students not-admitted to the SBA may register for pre-business courses, 100-200 level business courses, and/or non-business courses on their designated registration day according to class standing.
