The Center for Global Leadership in Sustainability (CGLS) won third place for its case study entitled Sustainability Amidst Uncertainty: Columbia Forest Products' Pursuit of Sustainability in a Changing Market in the 2009 International oikos Global Case Writing Competition.
The competition featured case studies from HEC Montreal, ICFAI, and the University of California, among others. The 1,000 Swiss Franc prize for third place will be awarded this August at the Academy of Management Conference in Chicago.
The project is the Winter 2008 Case Study for the center's Design for Sustainability Case Study Fellowship. The Fellowship allows students and faculty members to engage directly with businesses to
showcase their sustainability-based innovations and business practices.
Fellowships are provided to students who develop case studies of
successful sustainability-inspired businesses. Each project produces a
written case study for academic use as well as a professional video to
provide a multi-media narrative of the sustainability-inspired success.
Visit the CGLS website for more information or a copy of the written case study.
