Lauren earned her Ph.D. in Management with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from the University of Florida. Upon receiving her Ph.D., she joined the faculty at Portland State University, where she currently teaches courses in Human Resource Management.
Lauren’s research focuses on interpersonal relationships at work, employee selection and onboarding, and work-related mood and emotion. Her work has been published in academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Management, and the Journal of Vocational Behavior and has been featured in outlets such as Science Daily, The Wall Street Journal, Economic Times, United Press International, and WebMD.
Lauren also frequently presents her research at academic and professional conferences and is involved with professional associations such as the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Human Resource Management.
