Fall 2009 New Admission and Upper Division Course Requirements
Please note the following changes to the undergraduate admission requirements, effective Fall Term 2009.
ADMISSION TO THE SBA: As of Fall
2009 new students (not enrolled at Portland State prior to Fall
2009) must have a 2.85 GPA to be admitted to the School of Business.
ADMISSION TO UPPER DIVISION (300 and 400 level) COURSES: New students must be admitted to the School of Business in
order
to enroll in upper division (300 and 400 level) courses.
UPPER DIVISION COURSE WAIT LISTS (300-level and 400-level SBA classes, other than classes for the
Business Minor): Instructors are asked to sign 'Add' forms for students only when they
are on official computer-generated wait-list for a class.
Students who are NOT on the computer generated wait-list and are
requesting admission to a class must be vetted by the Undergraduate
Programs Office staff. The staff at the Undergraduate Programs Office
will review student requests and will either 1) provide the student
access to add the class through the computer or 2) deny the student
access. Instructors are not to sign these students into class.
