Enrique Washington has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and talent acquisition. He is currently the CEO and co-founder of the Generator Group. He oversees Generator Group’s talent management consulting and executive search practice.
Enrique has educated over 1,000 hiring managers on effective employee recruitment and selection. Enrique regularly speaks at national conferences on the topic of talent acquisition and socialization. For more than six years Enrique taught Staff and Employee Selection as an adjunct professor at Portland State University. Enrique hosts a podcast show dedicated to informing its listeners about trends and best practices for talent acquisition. Enrique is a contributing writer to Diversity Executive and Talent Management Magazine. Mr. Washington was the principal for a research study to understand trends and best practices that will result in developing a Practical Guide for Recruiting Minority Chief Executive Officers at Public Transportation Agencies.
In 2006, he received the “40 under 40” award by the Portland Business Journal for his work and accomplishments in the Portland business and local community. Mr. Washington has been featured or quoted in several other publications including Fortune Magazine, HR Magazine, Diversity/Careers in Engineering and Information Technology Magazine, Diversity Executives and the Portland Business Journal.
Mr. Washington participated in the 1995 Olympic Festival Track and Field Team, being named a Track and Field All American while in college. He is an adjunct professor at Portland State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Master of Science degree in Corporate and Public Communication from Seton Hall University. Mr. Washington also holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University.
