Cindy holds an MIM with distinguished honors from Thunderbird and a B.A. in Psychology/Spanish summa cum laude from Claremont McKenna College. As Co-Founder of award-winning Speak Shop www.speakshop.com, the first company to offer fair trade online language tutoring, Cindy has taken a social venture from concept to market. Prior to Speak Shop, Cindy spearheaded programs for non-profits such as Social Fusion and Net Impact and worked in international marketing at Nike. She has consulted to corporations and non-profits on marketing, social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility. A Brazilian American, Cindy has extensive international experience having traveled, worked or lived in more than 20 countries.
