Chuck Patton started his first career as an elementary school teacher in the early nineties teaching first in East Los Angeles and then in Portland, Oregon. In the late nineties, he returned to school to pursue an MIM degree from Portland State University where he studied Chinese and Japanese with the ultimate goal of working for a globally relevant company.
He has worked in various marketing roles at Nike since 1998 when he began his second career managing global photo production followed by stints managing Olympic (Athens and Beijing) and world cup projects (2006 Germany). IIn 2009, Chuck moved to Tokyo to work on the Nike Harajuku project – before assuming his current role as Marketing Operations / Brand Planning director for the fast growing $3B Emerging Markets business.
Chuck has also spent the past two years helping to guide Nike’s cricket business – led by the investment in the India National team – last year’s world cup champions.
