University Housing Announcements: (updated July 16, 2008)

Please review the information below before you submit your University Housing contract.

Availability for Fall 2008:

All Assignment and Waitlist notices were emailed on July 11 to students who submitted a contract by June 30, 2008. If you submitted a contract before June 30 but have not yet received an assignment or waitlist notice, please send an email to housing@pdx.edu.
All spaces have been assigned in most units, and waitlist notices were emailed to students if we were not able to offer a space.
There are a very limited number of spaces remaining for the First Year Experience (FYE) program in Ondine and a few 2-bedroom units for students with families.
Students who submit a contract after June 30, 2008, will be placed on a waiting list and can expect to receive a status update notification by August 11, 2008.
All current and prospective residents are responsible for checking their email and updating their preferred email address with the University Housing office.

Waitlist information:
We will assign students on the wait list as spaces open due to contract cancellations through October 1, 2008. If a space becomes available for you, we will email you as soon as possible with your assignment offer. We expect the next round of assignment notices to be emailed by Monday, August 11, 2008.

If spaces open, it will most likely be in furnished, double units with roommates in Broadway and Ondine or furnished single sleepers in Montgomery Court.

Summer Term 2008:
Effective July 2, 2008, the University Housing Office is only accepting housing contracts for Summer term 2008 in Montgomery Court furnished sleepers.

2008-2009 Contracts for NEW students:
The online contract for NEW students wanting to move in to University Housing has been available since March 5, 2008 . Click here to submit an online contract. If you submit your 2008-2009 contract after June 30, you can expect to receive a housing assignment status update via email no later than August 11, 2008. All current and prospective residents are responsible for checking their email and updating their preferred email address with the University Housing office.

Re-Contracting for 2008-2009:
Re-Contracting took place in April,2008. Any current resident who did not re-contract, but wishes to stay in University Housing for the 2008-2009 academic year will have to submit a contract as a new, incoming resident. The contract can be found by following the link below.

Important Housing Dates:

April 1-30: Re-Contracting for Current University Housing Residents.
May 8: Re-Contracting Assignment Notices sent.
June 1: Last day for New Residents to cancel contract for Summer w/refund of $150 advance payment.
June 14: Spring Term Move Out.
June 20: Last Day for New and Current Residents to cancel for Summer and avoid paying Summer Term charges
June 21: Summer Term Move In
July 1: Re-Contract Cancellation Deadline.
July 10: First round of New Fall 2008 Assignment Notices sent.
August 1: New Fall 2008 Resident Cancellation Deadline.
September 20: Fall 2008 Move In.

Housing Tours:
Housing Tours take place Monday through Friday. The tour starts in Neuberger Hall room 131 at 1:00pm and visits show rooms in the Broadway and Ondine buildings. Floor plans and pictures of other buildings can be viewed at the University Housing Office.
