Portland State University and Wells Fargo are challenging university faculty and students to invent greener products, processes and services.
The Cleantech Challenge is offering $50,000 in prize money to help bring green ideas to market.
The contest will accept submissions until May 10. Six semi-finalists will be announced at the end of May and given $5,000 apiece to develop a prototype.
Their projects will be judged in September and the grand prize winner of $25,000 will be announced at the annual Oregon Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies BEST Fest Sept. 11-12.
