Walk your way to good health! This 31-day walking challenge is free and open to the entire PSU community. Simply visit Walktober's website to create an account as an individual or team. Log your minutes, earn incentives, meet others through weekly guided walks and get outside and be active!

Kayak Polo

Thursday, October 8 - 8:30-9:30 p.m.

This game combines kayaking and ball-handling skills, where tactics and positional play are as important as the speed and fitness of the individual athletes. The game requires excellent teamwork and promotes both general kayaking skills and a range of other techniques unique to the sport. Games will be played at the Rec Center Pool. No registration required.

ODP Trip: French's Dome Climbing

Saturday, October 10, 2015 - 8 a.m-6 p.m.

Spend a day climbing at one of Oregon’s classic crags, French’s Dome  This location, just outside of ZigZag near Mt. Hood, offers beautiful scenery and great climbs for all skill levels.

ODP Trip: Opal Creek Backpacking

Depart Saturday October 10 at 8 a.m. | Return Sunday October 11 at 6 p.m.

Spend the weekend backpacking through the majestic Opal Creek Wilderness! The trail winds its way through towering forests while paralleling the crystal waters of the aquamarine Opal Creek. This overnight backpacking trip is open to outdoor enthusiasts of all experience levels. It is bound to be an enjoyable weekend for first time backpackers and experienced trekkers alike.

Fall Hours: Sept. 21 - Dec. 11

  • Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

* The pool closes 30 minutes before the rest of the facility and is closed during certain scheduled activities. See closure notices below, and check the Google calendar for specific pool/aquatics times.

Youth Hours

Fall Hours: Sept. 21 - Dec. 11

  • Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 10 a.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Stroller hours: M/F: 6 a.m. - 3 p.m., Sat/Sun: During facility hours***

** For pool use, we recommend that families participate in Open Rec Swim. See Google calendar below for times.

*** Strollers or carrying devices will be allowed in the Rec Center at any time during break and summer hours. Please see the policies page for more information about the stroller policy.

  • Wednesday, November 11
    The Rec Center will be closed in observance of Veterans Day
  • Thursday, November 26 - Friday, November 27
    The Rec Center will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving.
  • Thursday, December 24 - Friday, January 1
    The Rec Center will be closed for winter break.
