Portland State is embarking on a significant new commitment to student engagement and retention with the opening of a new student recreation center in January, 2010. Home to Campus Recreation, the new Center is located in the heart of campus in the Urban Plaza and will provide students and the campus community significantly expanded opportunities for exercise and campus engagement. Funded by student-fees, the Center will fall under the auspices of Student Affairs and is being intentionally programmed to link recreation to student learning.
