My favorite class to teach is: Cardio Combo
Because: Each week, I’ll get to challenge my participants and myself by bringing fun, new ways to incorporate strength and music into my routines. I love to always have a dance fitness element like Electro Dance or Zumba, but also pair it with toning exercises to get a great workout!
My favorite song on my playlist is: I’m the One by Dillon Francis
Because: this song is so much fun to pump iron to! It’s great to workout to the beat of the music.
I love teaching Group X because: it’s important to me to facilitate an environment that is welcoming. Dance can be a tricky element to incorporate into your workout if you’re not familiar. I love to be the person who gets to support my participants each week they return and guide them through the moves during class. It’s not rocket science if you practice!

My favorite class to teach is: Power Vinyasa or Vinyasa Flow
My favorite song on my playlist is: Breathe Me by Sia
Because: It's a powerhouse of a song that makes longer sequences feel great.
I love teaching Group X because: I get to introduce people to all the incredible things that can happen when movement, breath, and awareness come together during class. And I love seeing all the happy, relaxed faces at the end of class

My favorite class to teach is: Cycle/Krank
Because: any type of music can be used, and beginners and advanced participants can both get an appropriate workout riding right next to each other.
My favorite song on my playlist is: Impossible to choose! But for Cycle I use a Riverdance song called “Reel Around the Sun” which is the most motivating song in the world for me.
Because: I just can’t slow down when that song is playing. No matter how tired I am, the fast beat pushes me to keep going. I always think of the crazy tap dancing they do in Riverdance and if they can tap that fast then I can certainly pedal or run fast too!
I love teaching Group X because: It is rewarding to see people new to Group X try out your class, feel successful, and come back. It is also great to have your regulars who you can establish a relationship with and push to the next level. Group X makes workout sessions fun and effective and the classes hold you accountable. There really are no negatives!

My favorite song on my playlist is: Goodness Gracious (The Chainsmokers Remix) - Ellie Goulding
Because: Ellie is my favorite English artist and the original version of the song is my favorite song to come out this year. The remix is perfect for a warm-up routine!
I love teaching Group X because: When I took Group X for the first time, I was so nervous because I thought I would be judged for lacking in athletic ability. Three years later, I want to pass on the inspiration that I received by taking classes in an inspiration and judgment-free environment. That's why I love teaching Group X!

My favorite class to teach is: Cardio & Agility
Because: I love agility work as a cross training for sport or just overall conditioning. I love working with different pieces of gear on a regular basis such as the hurdles, agility ladder, steps and much more.

Because: After working out hard and giving it everything you have no matter what that is, you feel and are #1.
I love teaching Group X because: I enjoy working out with a group of people in a fun, energetic atmosphere. I love the Group X setting as there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Being active with a group of folks and forming new relationships is exciting.

Because: I am a yoga teacher: it is the only class I teach. I love exposing students to the benefits of yoga.

Because: Pilates is all about restoring the body’s natural alignment which benefits everyone from the rehab student to the elite athlete.

I love teaching Group X because: Witnessing class participants develop mobility, stability, body-mind awareness and wellness brings me the greatest joy and influences me to continue on my own path to wellness.

My favorite class to teach is: Hatha Yoga
Because: I love the practice of Hatha Yoga! It is not only calming and therapeutic for mind and body, but also challenging and fun. Practicing the poses and transitional movements with breath awareness becomes a moving meditation and a very joyful experience – a perfect practice for a lifetime.
My favorite song on my playlist is: I’m not currently using music with my classes. Though a favorite is LAYA PROJECT - LAYA MANTRA (Kartrck & Gotam Yalla Mantra Remix) (05:44) track 8 on White Swan Records Globesonic DJ Alsultany’s Yoga Lounge.
Because: It includes both traditional and contemporary music, chants and sound remixed that provides an upbeat and contemplative atmosphere. In Yoga, LAYA refers to absorption of breath and mind in the heart. Also, I appreciate that it is part of a project that documented the music of unknown local folk musicians in the remote villages that were in the path of 2004 tsunami in Asia.
I love teaching Group X because: I enjoy sharing the experience of movement and mood in a group setting. It is always my hope that participants not only become comfortable with the practices from classes but are also encouraged to explore and play within their own practice.

I love teaching Group X because: I love fitness and people! Group fitness is the most fun I ever had working out, and now I get to share it with other people!

My favorite class to teach is: Power Vinyasa Yoga,
Because: it allows for creative sequencing of postures in a moderate flow, with connection to breath, movement, muscle toning and strengthening. It's a mind/body workout, providing stress relief and exhilaration.
My favorite song on my playlist is: Strobe by Deadmau5
Because: I love the slow electronic progression, deep beats, piano riffs, and beautiful harmonies. It is a powerful song… and it seems to energize my classes as we move through yoga postures. I love using music (especially electronic music) to infuse my classes with a dynamic progression and spirit. My hope is that students connect with the experience, and get deeper into their practice. I love teaching Group X because: I have been teaching for nearly 4 years, and teaching Power Vinyasa with Campus Rec since 2010. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to guide students through such a physically and mentally empowering form of exercise. It’s inspiring to have an impact on others wellbeing, and contribute to the health of PSU’s community

My favorite class to teach is: Zumba
Because: Zumba is AMAZING!!! I LOVE teaching Zumba because I get to dance, move and shake my body to the music, and it’s a great way to exercise! I enjoy motivating people and playing great music that is upbeat and fun to dance to. Every class feels like a party, but it’s even better, you are sweating and burning tons of calories while you are having a blast! You don't even have to know how to dance you just move your body and follow my lead.
My favorite song on my playlist is: This is a difficult question. Most of the songs on my playlist are all my favorite songs. I always put a lot of effort into putting together a great playlist that is amazing to dance to and motivates you to work your hardest. I would say that my two favorite songs right now are “Can’t Believe It” by Flo Rida featuring Pitbull and “Turn the Night Up” by Enrique Iglesias
Because: I love these songs because the choreography is fun, it’s a great work out, you get to shimmy and shake your booty, and everyone brings a great unique attitude to the songs!
