Description: The Portland State Disc Golf Club is a new rec club dedicated to providing a way for Portland students to get together and enjoy the wonderful world of disc golf. We have members that play at all levels; some are still trying to figure out how to throw, others can snake a wicked hyzer 300+ feet through the densest forest. There are over a dozen courses in the Portland Metro area, making Portland an ideal city to disc in. Our club is recreational at this point, but we are looking to form a competitive group this year, with the hopes of playing against other collegiate teams, and perhaps even attending nationals.
If you have never played before we encourage you to come try it out. There are plenty of discs you can borrow to play with, and people that can help you learn the game. We would love to introduce the sport to new people, as it can often be a life changing experience.
For those of you who already play often, PSU Disc Golf will give you an opportunity to meet other PSU students who are passionate about the game, help with travel/car-pooling, and hopefully give you the opportunity to represent Portland State at competitive team-oriented events. We look forward to hearing from you.
Meeting Times:
The Disc Golf Club is meeting on the following dates in October. You can also download the latest news letter.
Oct. 23rd- meet at Dabney State Park at 2:30 pm. The club will be by the practice basket.
Oct. 28th- Planning Meeting. Come get to know some other disc golfers and help the club plan some events. Day and Time is TBA, email for more details
Oct. 31st- Meet at Hornings Hideout at 10:00 am.
