Profile: Meet Will Macht

William Macht, President of Macht & Company, has been a developer and development consultant in the Portland metropolitan area for over 30 years, an Adjunct Professor for over 28 years and teaches courses on Real Estate Development Planning I & II and the Development Planning Workshop. Mr. Macht has served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Oregon Investment Board, a Commissioner for the Port of Hood River, founding board member of the Hood River Urban Renewal Agency, a development director of the Rouse Company, aide to Senators Jacob Javits and Robert F. Kennedy, an international attorney for the U.S. Treasury, and International Counsel of the Gates Rubber Company, and Gates Land Company. He writes the Solution File column for Urban Land Magazine and is Vice-Chair of the Urban Land Institute District Council-Oregon/SW Washington. Mr. Macht is a graduate of Princeton University and its Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the University of Virginia Law School.
