Real Estate Development Graduate Certificate Application

Admission to graduate study is granted on the basis of evidence of suitable preparation and the probability of success in the intended field of study. Admission requires a minimum of an accredited baccalaureate degree and a GPA which meets university graduate admission standards.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Submit the following information to the School of Urban Studies and Planning

  1. Copy of a recent resume
  2. Sealed transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.
  3. Completed Completed Graduate Certificate application form:

  4. A credit card authorization or a check to Portland State University for $50.00

Applications are accepted at any time of year. Students may take courses prior to being admitted to the program.

UNIVERSITY MINIMUM GPA REQUIREMENTS

For applicants with 0-11 credits of graduate work, the cumulative undergraduate GPA must be 2. 75 or higher for admission.

Applicants with 0-11 credits of graduate work and cumulative undergraduate GPAs between 2.50 and 2.74 may be considered for conditional admission only, at the discretion of the department.

An applicant with 12 or more graduate credits must have a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, and this GPA supersedes the undergraduate GPA

INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXISITING MASTER'S/PHD STUDENTS

If you are currently admitted to a masters or doctoral program at PSU and currently registered for classes, use the GO-19M or GO-19D form to request addition of the Graduate Certificate program. (You must be in good academic standing.) Along with this form, please submit a current resume.

Application for Undergraduate Real Estate Finance Major

 

Application for Undergraduate Real Estate Development Minor

  • There is no formal application process for the Undergraduate Minor in Real Estate Development.

  • Students of any major may acquire a minor in real estate development
  • Courses taken for the real estate development minor are permitted to count toward the general university studies educational requirements or toward any major's course requirements.
  • Students can declare for a Minor in Real Estate Development at the time that they graduate. However, students may want to register with the Center for Real Estate to get advice on completing your program and to join the email list for employment opportunities. To do this, contact Professor Gerard Mildner at mildnerg@pdx.edu.
