RAPS Objectives
Promote the welfare of retired personnel
Provide facilities and leadership for retiree activities
Encourage communication among its members
Provide pertinent information to persons eligible for membership
Confer with University president and other officers on matters of mutual interest to RAPS and to PSU
Support the aims and objectives of the University and promote its endeavors
Assist in the development and preservation of the history of Portland State University

Organization of RAPS
Governed by an Executive Board which is comprised of:
- President
- President-elect
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Past-president
- Newsletter Editor of The RAPS Sheet
- Standing committee chairs
- Three members-at-large
Board
meetings are open to all RAPS members. We meet in the conference room of the
Simon Benson House on the second Thursday of each month from September
through May. Board meetings for Fall 2009 begin promptly at 12:30 pm.

Membership Eligibility
All retired PSU personnel and their spouses
Current PSU personnel age 55 or over
Retired personnel from other accredited colleges or universities
Widows or widowers of any of the above groups
If you are interested in joining our organization, please see the
Membership page for more information. (You may also visit our office in
Rm 212 of K-House (the former Campus Ministry Bldg.) for more
information. Office hours are 9am-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.)
