Name/Pronoun Classroom Advocacy
Name/Pronoun Class Advocacy for Transgender / Gender-exceptional students
Each new term, students can be stressed out about classroom rosters and having teachers and students respect chosen names and gender identity. The QRC is offering a new advocacy service for students whose name or pronoun choice is different from what the University may provide to Professors for Classroom Rosters. By filling out the information in the form below, our Transgender & IPV Coordinator will email Professors to advise them of your chosen name and pronoun along with a way to contact us if they have further questions.
Only the QRC Director, QRC Transgender & IPV Coordinator, and the QRC Web Admin will have access to the information provided here. This information will not be shared with anyone beyond the Professors you designate and only for the purposes of advocating a students' needs in the classroom.
In the event that Professors do not check their PSU email, or do not receive or read the advocacy email, please contact us at email@example.com or 503-725-9742 to arrange for further advocacy. PSU prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression. Any questions about PSU’s Prohibited Discrimination & Harassment policy can be directed to Chas Lopez, the Executive Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion. He can be reached by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone number 503-725-5919.
