The Portland State University School of Social Work is pleased to present a series of events centered around culture and conversations. Please join us for three weeks in February and one week in March as we invite community leaders to facilitate conversations around celebrating strengths and understanding disparities in Oregon Communities. Disability and Oppression: Understanding the Historical and Social Stigmas of People with
Disabilities

This workshop will look at the shifting stigmas and oppression experienced by people with physical disabilities through the last 50 years. It will explore the use of language and etiquette to better work with and for people with disabilities.
