About the Speaker:
After working at McSweeney's for eight years as managing editor and then publisher, Eli Horwitz now publishes and produces cutting-edge material that integrates story and technology at his digital publishing firm, Ying, Horotwitz & Quinn. He has also co-authored two books, Everything You Know is Pong, and The Clock Without a Face.

Transmit Culture is hosted by the Master's program in Publishing at Portland State University, and Ooligan Press, a nonprofit trade press run by students of the graduate program. In addition to producing high quality books celebrating the rich literary tradition of the Pacific Northwest, Ooligan Press is committed to teaching the art and craft of publishing. In the spirit of learning, and of celebrating and engaging with the literary community in Portland, this lecture series will be open to the public and will feature professionals from all areas of the publishing industry.
