By highlighting the premise that mathematics is a tool for sense making, we will share some typical elementary and middle school math problems and connect to the Common Core State Standards. This hands-on session is designed for both adults and children so that one can see how mathematics plays a very important role in our everyday life and how parents and children can work together on math problems.
