Connecting with Your Classmates
Establishing relationships with your peers can be beneficial in a variety of ways: forming study groups, discussing different interests in the field, recommending classes, and staying informed about opportunities and events on campus.
Connect with classmates face to face to explore course concepts further. Students who join study groups often get better grades and understand the material better.
Students can join the mailing list which is another great resource that provides information about upcoming events, and various volunteer/research opportunities from within our community. If you are interested in signing up for the listserv, visit the following link:
Students can also join the Psychology Club here at PSU. The mission of the Psychology Club is to provide an arena for students who are interested in the field of psychology to network, communicate, discover opportunities, relax and have fun. There are no GPA requirements for members.
The International Honor Society in Psychology (Psi Chi)
Psi Chi’s purpose is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship, and to advance the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications.
