D2L Tutorials & Faculty Support

The Center for Online Learning (COL) has collaborated with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to provide faculty support for the Desire2Learn learning management system and other instructional applications. The PSU Helpdesk should be your first stop for basic D2L help like getting logged in, activating your course, or finding functions and tools: 503 725-HELP (4357). If the Helpdesk staff can’t solve your problems they will refer you to IDSC staff. The IDSC instructional designer can help with advanced functionality and course design issues.

Integrated Digital Support Center

The Integrated Digital Support Center (IDSC) is a 24-hour lab available to the PSU community. The lab has two areas located in the Broadway Building. BHB 226 is a general access lab while BHB 225 is dedicated to faculty, graduate students, and staff. The IDSC team includes one full-time instructional designer from COL. Lab staff can help with D2L training, troubleshooting, and advanced-function issues with D2L. IDSC phone: 503-725-9111.

Face-to-face workshops on D2L are available. The training schedule can be found at http://oit.pdx.edu/training.

To schedule an appointment with the IDSC instructional designer, submit a help request via email. Additional resources for faculty teaching online are below, and our D2L tutorials are in the menu to the left.
