Importing Quizzes from a CSV file
You can import quizzes from other courses, or from quiz banks, so long as they are in a format D2L can read. To import a pre-formed quiz, save it as a .CSV file on your computer. Then follow steps 3 -9 below.
Importing Quizzes from Respondus
Step 1: In Respondus, under the Start Tab, find the Current Personality drop-down list and select "IMS QTI Personality".
Step 2: If your Respondus file was from Blackboard, you will need to convert it to QTI before importing it into D2L. It is recommended that you save this new file under a new file name if you wish to keep the quiz file under the original personality for future use. Save your changes. Follow steps 3-9.
Step 3: In D2L, enter your Couse and click on "Course Settings" on the right side of the yellow navigation bar.
Step 4: Click on Import/Export/Copy Components.
Step 5: Choose "Import Components from a file". Browse to retrieve the QTI file you created in Respondus or your CSV file saved to your computer. Click Next.
Step 6: The system will read the file; click Next when it is done.
Step 7: Select the parts you want to import. You will probably choose "Select All" and click Next.
Step 8: Check the box labeled 'Import Metadata' and click Next. It will then import the file, which can take several minutes. Click NEXT when it finishes.
Step 9: Return to the Quiz tool and check the results of your import.
