Open Engagement is a three-day international conference that explores varied perspectives on art and social practice and expands the dialogue around socially engaged art making. Among the more than 150 national and international presenters, this year’s conference features keynotes by artists Tania Bruguera and Paul Ramirez Jonas, and scholar Shannon Jackson. The work of these artists and scholars touches on subjects including politics, economics, education, and representation. Open Engagement is an initiative of PSU’s Art and Social Practice MFA concentration.
