My name is Gianna and I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I am the first in my family to receive a high school diploma and even have the chance to go to college. I am now a sophomore and have decided to major in Social Work with a minor in Women’s Studies. I became an Orientation Leader because of the doors orientation opend for me. As an incoming freshman, I was not familiar with the resources, organizations, advising, and support that PSU has to offer. Attending Orientation enabled me to register for classes and make a smooth transition into college. I would like to help the students and families who were just like me when I first attended this PSU adventure.
