Pianist, accompanist, and chamber musician, Connie Titterington is an instructor of applied and class piano at PSU. Connie’s undergraduate years were spent at Oregon State University and Humboldt State University where she studied piano with Tharald Borgir and Frank Marks. During her academic years at Portland State University, Connie was mentored by Mary Hall Kogen and studied piano under Jeffrey Payne and chamber music under Harold Gray. In 2001, she received a Master of Science Degree in Teaching with an emphasis in chamber music and accompanying. Shortly thereafter, Connie joined the adjunct piano faculty at PSU. As a teacher she values relationship, conceptual thinking, body awareness, and sensitivity to learning style. Her enthusiasm and love for teaching piano at all levels is strong, as is her commitment to helping her students succeed. Connie is an active musician at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church. She lives near Newberg, Oregon, with her husband, Don, and her two singing dogs.
