Dr. Susan Chan, who joined the PSU faculty in 2004, combines teaching, performing and research in her work. She teaches pedagogy, studio piano, class piano and keyboard literature. An active piano soloist and chamber musician, she promotes music from Asia and that written by women composers in addition to traditional repertoire. She has conducted masterclasses and performed in universities and music festivals in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia. Her CD discography includes the latest recording East West Encounter featuring music by western and contemporary Chinese composers.
