Dr.
Hough’s expertise is providing clients with the best available data
to make informed decisions. He has
over 25 years of experience examining data ranging from the federal
statistical system to local tribal registries. His teaching interests
include social demography, demographic methods, and applied statistics. His
recent articles and presentations have focused on evaluating the American
Community Survey as a replacement to the U.S. Census decennial long
form. His current research interests
are in developing training materials to assist local communities in
utilizing the American Community Survey data.
