Meet Student Ambassador Molly Conroy

    Major: Biochemistry

Molly is a born and raised Portland native. She likes the human knot and loves to play boccie ball and foosball. She came to PSU to stay in Portland. Throughout her time here, she has become much more involved on campus. In addition to being a Student Ambassador, she is also a Resident Assistant for ResLife in the First Year Experience (FYE) program. She also works for Oregon Health and Science University as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
This summer she traveled to Nicaragua with the PSU Institute on Aging and along with other students, helped put on the first community health fair in Nicaragua. It has pushed her to become more involved and volunteer internationally.

She has always found surgery interesting, but in high school she was able to shadow anesthesiologist technicians at the Veterans Administration Medical Center; she was able to stand behind the anesthesiologist tent and view the closing of a cardiac surgery close up. That experience was a very strong influence in pushing her towards the OR for a career, either as a surgeon or anesthesiologist.
