With a B.S and M.B.A in business administration, Julie began her tenure at PSU as the manager of transportation and parking under the Office of Business Affairs. She did such a terrific job that she was quickly promoted to head a newly re-formed administrative unit: Auxiliary Services. If you’re not sure what Auxiliary Services does, think of all the activities that support the thousands of students and staff that spend so much of their time on campus: students who must have student housing; faculty and staff looking for a fine meal, and all of us who need parking and recreation. Julie manages these units and more: the Smith Memorial Union; Stott Center; food services; vending; the University Market; university event scheduling; Viking Bowl and Billiards and other operations in the Smith Union. Julie North is one of PSU’s most nimble administrators; she is constantly adapting Auxiliary Services to meet the changing needs of the PSU community.
