The center provides researchers with state-of-the-art facilities for the characterization, measurement, and fabrication of nanoscale materials and devices. Researchers from participating institutions are able to access the center by visiting PSU, or through remote-access high speed Internet connections--enabling critical research to take place throughout Oregon.
  • In October 2006, Portland State's Graduate School of Education received almost $2.4 million in federal grants for special education projects and scholarships for special education graduate students.
  • Portland State University Chemistry Chair Kevin Reynolds is the principle investigator on a four-year, $1.6 million grant with the University of Michigan from the National Institutes of Health. The project researches polyketide synthases, which generate natural products with wide-ranging pharmaceutical and agricultural applications.
