Meet Student Ambassador Coordinator Lloyd E. Daggett III

Name: Lloyd E. Daggett III

Year at PSU: Senior

Major(s): Art History

Lloyd grew up in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Los Angeles for a year before coming to Portland in 2001. He chose PSU for its urban convenience, but stayed because of the caliber of the Professors and Administrators he encountered. The most impacting experiences of his life have been his world travels and chess games with his father over scotch and cigars; these experiences have helped him define his values by experiencing and processing cultural views of the world and individual purpose.

He feels the most important thing in life is to embrace experience without fear; all experience can help define one’s passions, which define one’s goals, the marrow of life. His favorite quote is by and unknown author: “An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered; an adventure is an inconvenience rightly considered.” He is drawn to this because it illustrates how much control the individual has in his or her own life, simply by changing personal perspective.
