I started teaching first year graduate students in September 2004. I've taught in the MSW and BSW programs.
Teaching allows me to build community with fellow-travelers--whether that's the students I meet every year, faculty colleagues, field instructors, alumni, or folks at community agencies--who are care deeply about social justice and empowering the most vulnerable families in our state. Some of the coolest, most interesting, most vitally engaged people are somehow affiliated with the School of Social Work.
Stories! I love personal essays, memoir, and fiction. In addition to my passion for social work, I am a writer of creative nonfiction. Some of my recent work can be found on my website.
