What makes a great place? How can we measure the impact of our small actions for the greater good?
Portland State University has established a new collaborative research center, the Center for Integrated and Multiscale Modeling, or CIMM. Housed at the Institute for Sustainable Solutions, CIMM combines high-powered computing of hard data with soft data - the knowledge and input from people who live in a place and know it best. CIMM allows us to visualize, analyze, and explore how individual actions and perspectives can shape the future a place. The goal is to come together to frame problems based on shared knowledge and build a common vision of a livable future.
