Susan Kirtley is an Assistant Professor of English and Director of Rhetoric and Composition at PSU.  She returned to her hometown and joined the faculty at PSU in the fall of 2011 after several years at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.  Her research interests include early women authors, writing and technology, visual rhetoric, and comic art, and her book, Lynda Barry: Girlhood Through the Looking Glass was published by the University Press of Mississippi in March 2012. 

November 16th, she will be presening her new book, Lynda Barry: Girlhood Through the Looking Glass at the Portland Center for Public Humanities.
