Senji Lama is currently a Portland State University Student, who is pursuing a Bachelors of Art degree in Health Studies with the emphasis on Community Health Education. She is originally from Nepal, who immigrated to the United States in the year of 2004. She will be the first one in her family to be earning a college degree in the United States. Aside from her academic pursuits, her passion for helping students and making Portland State University even more better are very much part of her daily lifestyle. At Portland State University, she is currently an Ambassador, Orientation leader International student mentor, and works at the library and Student Activities and Leadership Program.
Outside of academics and work, she loves performing authentic dance routines from Nepal at cultural functions. Dancing is a big part of Nepali culture that she was born and raised to and she wants to continue preserving it. At home in Oregon, she loves to take part in outdoor activities, cooking, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
