Education: Graduated Multnomah College, 1971


Experience:  From 1990-1996 Sanndra worked as a Consultant and Trainer with federal grant project from Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services. Later she was a  Social Service Specialist with Oregon Department of Human Services, recruitment, retention and training of foster, adopt and relative caregivers. Since  2003, Sandra has been a Training Specialist with the Child Welfare Partnership. She serves on Serve on the board of the National Indian Parent Information Center, presented workshops at the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) conference. She also present workshops annually at the National Indian Parent Information Center (NIPIC) conference. Sandra has also received awards from the Foster and Adoptive Family Foundation and the Native American Youth and Family Center of Portland Oregon.


Teaching/Training Areas: Provide training for caregivers and child welfare staff on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to:  Child Development; Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders; Loss and Grief; Behavior Management; Internet Safety;  Domestic Violence; Sexual Abuse; Documentation; Fathering; Transitions; Trauma Informed Parenting; Vicarious Trauma; Visitation
