Phil Rowlands was a primary head teacher for 27 years. Upon retiring he devoted himself to writing and produced his first novella, ‘A Christmas Carol Revisited’. It was given its first public reading in Manhattan last December. Phil runs a blog kindleauthors.blogspot.com dedicated to supporting aspiring writers. He is also joint editor of Eto a new magazine that promotes emerging Welsh authors who write through the medium of English.
On October 4th, he will participate in the panel discussion "Culture Wars. Other Voices in British Literature: Should 'Welsh Writing in English' be taught as a separate course or module in U.S. Universities?" at the Portland Center for Public Humanities at Portland State University.
