I am native Oregonian raised on a small farm between Sherwood and Newberg. I have lived in Portland for most of my life. I graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Science in the spring of '09. I am currently a graduate student with the Center for Science Education working towards a Masters of Science Teaching (MST). My scholastic interests include an emphasis in chemistry and biology. I have been a General Chemistry workshop leader for the past two years and also instructed Foundations of Chemistry (CH 199) in the fall term of 2009. Additionally I will be instructing the Chemistry Head Start in the summer term of 2010.
My outside of school interests include paddling, outrigger canoeing, lifting weights, skiing, basketball, watching the Trail Blazers win, golfing, hiking, travelling, and spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy coaching Grant High School's dragon boat team (Go Pirates!!!).
