Meet Professor Alex Ruzicka
Alex Ruzicka is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology at Portland State University, and the Director of the Cascadia Meteorite Laboratory. Dr. Ruzicka studies the origin and evolution of the solar system and the bodies within it. His research speciality is the geochemistry, petrology, and cosmochemistry of meteorites.
Dr. Ruzicka earned his PhD in Planetary Science from the University of Arizona in 1996. He teaches courses in astrogeology, geochemistry, meteorites, global environmental change, and introductory geology, among others.
