Profile: Meet Lindsay Desrochers, Vice President for Finance & Administration

Lindsay Desrocher loves working with big, complex challenges including defining the future of PSU and its University District, which she launched in the 1990's in partnership with the City of Portland.

Who says you can't come home again? Ten years ago Lindsay left Oregon to take a position as senior Vice Chancellor for capitol resources and treasurer of the Board of Regents for the University of Georgia. There, she managed a $4 billion budget and established the framework for the master planning of that system's 34 institutions.

In 2000, she moved to the University of California at Merced as their vice chancellor of administration and over the next five years built the UC system's first new campus in 50 years ... from the underground up.

Eventually, for Lindsay Desrochers, all roads lead back to Portland and she is most happy to be back at PSU contributing to an institution she feels is unique in its commitment to community engagement and student and faculty success. "It's a great place in a great city. It feels like coming home."
