Meet Dr. Hanoch Livneh

Hanoch Livneh, PhD, CRC, NCC, LPC, is professor emeritus in the counselor education department and was the coordinator of the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at PSU since its inception in 1988. Prior to that (1977-1988) he held a similar position at Rhode Island College, Providence, RI. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association/Rehabilitation Psychology Division. Dr. Livneh holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from the Hebrew University (Jerusalem, Israel) and master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in rehabilitation counseling psychology. His research interests include psychosocial adaptation to chronic illness and disability, attitudes toward people with disabilities, rehabilitation outcome assessment, psychiatric rehabilitation, and coping with stress and trauma.
